The Michael Aram Botanical Leaf Collection takes its inspiration from the intricacies of form and texture found in particular types of foliage. Reminiscent of eucalyptus and seagrape, the structure celebrates the twisting branches as much as it does the leaves themselves.

Honor the Shabbat with a Benny Dabah’s exclusive anodized aluminum Kiddush cup colored. The gentle shape narrows at the base and is decorated with a circular band on which are laser cut letters in 3D spelling the words – borei pri hagefen – the blessing recited on wine.
The Elevate Kiddush Set is a functional work of art. The tray appears to hover slightly above the table surface, and the cup appears to hover within the tray indentation, alluding to the elevation we experience on Shabbat and holidays as we lift our kiddush cups to sanctify the special day.
The cup is offset, leaving the center open, as we aim to place the Shabbat experience at the center of our day. The mirror finish reminds us that this is a time of reflection while the satin finish of the indentation protects the Tray during use and catches minor spills.
When not in use for Kiddush, the set is designed to act as a votive or tealight holder, by placing candles in the overturned cup and in the tray indentation.

The Michael Aram Black Orchid Collection was inspired by the powerful sensuality of orchids and the rich ambiance of haute couture – strikingly simple yet full of the most extreme detail. The collection has an almost gothic feeling – opiated, lush, and smoldering – like the dark, velvety atmosphere of a luxurious evening. "There is something so seductive about orchids. In blackened nickel, they are even more sublime, like a woman wearing a black velvet gown floating through a great estate or a glassy urban high-rise. The dark atmosphere of the orchids against the hammered metal is like the afterglow of a beautiful evening."

"There is such power in narrative images for me. There is a feeling that we're creating an entire imaginary world, building designs around interactive themes that are familiar to all of us. The shapes are obvious and immediate and, at the same time, impressionistic and lyrical - the way a small child might imagine the scenes in a story he's being told. The image of the tree of life is one of my favorites. It is an idea which is so widely expressed in all cultures and by all religions that it becomes a universal symbol of hope."

The Twist Gold Kiddush Cup is inspired by the idea that the whole can be far greater than the sum of it's parts. When elements are combined, they take on another feeling, a greatness. Together, they are strong, but also I would argue, more beautiful. When lines are repeated, or wires woven, there is a loveliness to the pattern that fascinates and pleases. A symmetry is created that is calming and classical.
''I often explore materials and create collections which are craft based. Twist was created while experimenting with intertwining wires. There is a fluidity and movement to the twists that I love. The twisted wires suggest a coming together of things that I find poetic.'' Material: Goldtone, Stainless Steel. Each Michael Aram metal object undergoes a series of grinding, buffing and polishing techniques. Variations or 'imperfections' in the product's finish are characteristic of the creation process. Due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

About the Artist: Michael Aram is an American born artist who works primarily in metal. After studying fine art and living as an artist in New York in the late 1980's, Aram took what would later be a life-altering trip to India where he discovered rich metalworking traditions. Inspired to work with craftsmen whose skills he felt were greatly untapped, Aram turned his creative energies towards craft based design, setting up a home and workshop in New Delhi. Each Michael Aram metal object undergoes a series of grinding, buffing, and polishing techniques. Variations or 'imperfections' in the product's finish are characteristic of the creation process due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
The Michael Aram White Orchid Collection illuminates the ethereal spirit of the orchid flower. Evocative of purity, delicacy, femininity and grace, the white metal version offers a strikingly different appeal than its black counterpart. While the sculpture is just as exuberant and detailed, in white, these flowers take on a simplicity that is completely unique. There is a sense of lightness, freshness and even innocence - each petal seemingly untouched and pure.
"Orchids naturally emit a sense of sensuality and seductiveness, but in white nickel they take on a completely different meaning - an element of brightness that I associate with new beginnings. When I think of white orchids, I imagine the purity and sweetness of a newborn child, or a newlywed couple at the beginning of their lifelong journey."
